Roshni Sheffield Asian Women's Resource Centre has been providing a Carers Support Services for the South Asian female community since 2007.
Carers Support Service is committed to improving the quality of life for female Asian carers of people with mental illness by raising awareness on issues related to health and wellbeing, benefits, carers rights and raising awareness of the different types of mental health problems. We believe stigmas attached to mental health issues should be removed by providing necessary support through a variety of approaches.
The service aims to work with other agencies to enhance pathways to care for Carers with people with mental ill health, and provides a resource and a supportive link between South Asian female communities and mental health services.

Roshni - M H Partnership:
The service is working in partnership with Mental Health Teams and Sheffield PCT on a new initiative to improve information on accessing mental health services.
IAPT Services:
The service is also offering an IAPT service(Improving Access to Psycho-Therapy) helping people with low mood, stress, anxiety and depression.
Carers Training Programme:
This Programme aims to provide carers with the full range of information regarding their rights as carers, how to access services and where to go in cases of emergency.
